Dental Inspirations Newsletter 2016 - 5 years and counting...23rd May 2016

Wow, what a year it has been at Dental Inspirations.

First of all we would like to say a huge thank you to each and every single one of our patients.  Without your continued attendance and support we wouldn't be where we are today.  So Thank You.

Changes this year

BDA Good Practice Membership

Dental Inspirations became certified as a member of BDA Good Practice.  This is a scheme run by the British Dental Association, that recognises practices' teams that have shown commitment to working within a high set of standards of good practice in the delivery of Dental Care.  Being recognised for this scheme has entailed some changes within the practice, aiming to ensure that all patients are receiving the highest standard of care possible.  The membership wouldn't be possible without all the hard work that comes from Team Dental Inspirations - so thank you to all of our staff, for the commitment to the practice and the standards that we are maintaining.

Scottish Dentistry Awards Winners 2016

This year, we were selected as finalists for two Scottish Dentistry Awards - The Community Award and The Practice Team Award.  The ceremony was held at The Hilton, Glasgow on Friday 13th of May, and lucky for us we won the Community Award.  This is the 3rd Award for Dental Inspirations Practice. It was a fabulous evening and nice for Team DI to celebrate being recognised for being a community practice.  We firmly believe that the practice should be a hub for the community.  We regularly fundraise for local charities, and always try to support local businesses.  We aim to make your visit as pleasurable as possible, and are always working on ways to improve our practice and your patient experience.   If you have any feedback on how we can improve your experience, please email; management@dentalinspirations.co.uk

Mercury Free Dentistry

This year, the practice invested in new state of the art equipment - The IQ Air Hg.  This equipment is used for the safe removal of amalgam fillings.  We're constantly monitoring new techniques, treatments and equipment and Dr Hickey really felt that this equipment would be a great investment for the practice and our patients. Anyone can have their amalgam fillings removed, however with the use of the IQ Air, it is ensuring that they are being removed in the safest environment possible, with minimal risk of mercury exposure.

Extension of Dr Hickeys hours

Dr Hickey has increased her hours recently and now works;

Monday       8am - 6pm

Wednesday  8am - 5pm

Thursday     8am - 6pm

She is registering new patients, so please tell your mums, friends, sisters, uncles, brothers, sons if they are looking for a new dentist.  As Dr Hickeys diary and patient base grows we are hopeful to have her working full time hours by the end of 2016/early 2017.  If you have a specific need to be seen on alternative days, please let our reception team know, as Dr Hickey is often flexible to meet the needs of her patients.

Fundraising

Last year - 2015 - Team Dental Inspirations, with the help of all of our wonderful and generous patients raised £850 for various local charities.  Thank you.  Without your continued encouragement, support and generosity we wouldn't be able to dress up silly and eat cake every few months.  If you have a charity close to your heart or feel the Dental Inspirations Team could support it in any way, please contact our Practice Manager Leianna Minty on 01224 860220 or email; managment@dentalinspirations.co.uk
